Platforms like Circle, Skool, and Mighty Networks make it easy to build membership communities without custom development. Substack and Patreon enable subscription-based content businesses. The barrier to launching a membership site in 2026 is essentially zero.<\/p>\n
The recurring revenue model is powerful for part-time entrepreneurs because it creates predictable income. Here is what I have learned over nearly two decades of building businesses on the side: the money matters, but only in service of the life you want to live. If your business makes you miserable, the revenue is irrelevant. If your business gives you freedom, flexibility, and the ability to help people, the revenue is a natural byproduct.<\/p>\n
