Note that there is no real indication that they are headed in that direction — I am just speculating here. With regard to pricing, the problem is that this is not a typical business model for Google, so it’s hard to predict what they might charge. I have a sinking feeling that the data are just simply gone forever. I’ll keep you posted.

Thanks for the podcast. Great to hear you back on mic. Been too long.

Google encrypted search has my mind going. Not being in the US, I haven’t been following too much of the NSA stuff, so this was all news to me. It would seem to me that the move could also be for something like a Google Analytics Premium. Analytics is such a powerful tool, and they’re really doing a lot more with it now as far as education (not sure if you saw the Google Analytics Academy launch for this month or not).

I would prefer the paid option to the NSA reasoning. Just for discussion’s sake, what do you think a premium version of GA would go for? How much would you be willing to pay (as a whole and per site)?
